Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Sunshine Coast

Passengers are to make their own way to Maroochydore Airport – where they will be met and transferred to well-located apartment style hotel on the Mooloolaba foreshore. Check in for three nights. Tonight, there will be a welcome dinner, where you will meet your Tour Manager as well as your travel companions from around Australia.

Day 2 – Sunshine Coast

Breakfast in Mooloolaba will be on your own account at any one of the cafes or coffee shops situated along the Esplanade adjacent to the resort. This morning we gather for a short transfer (only about 3 kms) to the Headland Buderim Croquet Club – where games of social Golf Croquet have been arranged, offering an interaction with local members. Lunch will be enjoyed, chatting with the people you have just met on the croquet lawns. In the afternoon we return to Mooloolaba with a chance for you to relax at your resort, or walk the beach, or check out the fashionable shopping options close by. This evening is at leisure for you to enjoy one of the many dining options along the foreshore.

Day 3 – Sunshine Coast

After another leisurely morning we gather for a sightseeing tour of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The tour will spend time visiting the quaint villages that boast art and craft galleries as well as some excellent coffee shops and eateries. Lunch will be included at one such venue with a spectacular vista of the Glass House Mountains. Return to Mooloolaba during the afternoon with another evening of leisure to enjoy further dining options.

Day 4 – Sunshine Coast to Noosa Heads

It’s an early start as we load the coach and travel to the northern end of the Sunshine Coast and to the Noosa Croquet Club, where games of social Golf Croquet have been arranged, offering an interaction with local members. Lunch will be enjoyed with members of the Noosa club. This afternoon will be spent in Noosa – with options for you to explore the spectacular National Park that hugs foreshore around Noosa Headland or the famous Hastings Street, with an abundance of boutique shopping as well as cafes, restaurants and bars.

Day 5 – Noosa Heads to Hervey Bay

Free time this morning to find your own breakfast and enjoy the ambience that surrounds one of Australia’s most exclusive holiday locations. Gather late in the morning to take a luncheon cruise on the Noosa River with wide sweeping views through Woods Bay, Weyba Creek, the River Mouth and the Noosa Sound canals. During the afternoon we continue north through Gympie and Maryborough to Hervey Bay – often referred to as the retirement capital of Queensland. We check into our accommodation and have a free evening.

Day 6 – Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay is not known as the Whale Watching Capital of Australia for no reason – and this morning we join the ‘Spirit of Hervey Bay’ for a whale watching adventure like no other! Upon returning to the mainland, we return to our accommodation to freshen up and find our own lunch before we take a short drive to the Arkarra Tea Gardens, for afternoon tea / coffee within a relaxing refuge of beautifully landscaped gardens. Later returning to the Bay there will be time for a stroll along the Esplanade and out on the pier, as you enjoy the holiday atmosphere of your holiday destination

Day 7 – Hervey Bay to K’Gari (Fraser Island)

This morning we check out after breakfast and visit the Hervey Bay Croquet Club where there will be a morning of social Golf Croquet offering an interaction with local members, to be followed by lunch with your new friends. During the afternoon we travel a few kilometres south to River Head where we take the ferry service across the Great Sandy Straights to Kingfisher Bay on Fraser Island. On arrival we check into the Kingfisher Bay Resort for two nights. Dinner included tonight.

Day 8 – K’Gari (Fraser Island)

Full day tour in 4×4 coach taking in the beauty and splendour of this World Heritage Island. Stops will be made at Central Station and Wangoolba Creek, Lake McKenzie, the wreck of the Maheno, the coloured sands at the Pinnacles and the relaxing fresh waters of Eli Creek. Lunch included at Eurong Resort – on the eastern side of the island. Later return to your accommodation. Dinner is included at the Kingfisher Bay Resort tonight.

Day 9 – K’Gari (Fraser Island) to Sunshine Coast

This morning we enjoy time at the resort before we take the mid-morning ferry service back to River Head and then travel the short distance south to Maryborough, where there will be time to enjoy the well-preserved ambience of this historic city. Then continuing south through Gympie and onto the small township of KinKin, where you will spend an enjoyable few hours, having lunch at the local pub and visiting some of the local artistic attractions. During the afternoon we will take a scenic trip south along the coast, providing a glimpse of the millionaires’ mansions at Sunshine Beach, and the spectacular views around Mount Coolum. Upon return to Mooloolaba we check into accommodation for the final two nights of the tour. Dinner on own account.

Day 10 – Sunshine Coast

Breakfast in Mooloolaba will be on your own account at any one of the cafes or coffee shops situated along the Esplanade adjacent to the resort. This morning we gather for a short trip down the coast to Caloundra, where we will spend the morning at the Caloundra Malet Club – where games of social Golf Croquet have been arranged, offering an interaction with local members. After the games, lunch will be enjoyed, with the local members at the nearby RSL Club. During the afternoon we return to Mooloolaba with a chance for you to relax at your resort, or walk the beach, or checkout the fashionable shopping options close by.
